Mounjaro is considered a game-changer in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults, however it has gained popularity for it’s affects on weight-loss.

What is Mounjaro Injection?

Mounjaro is an FDA approved medication to reduce blood sugar levels in adults above the age of 18 with type 2 diabetes. It is a once-weekly injection that should be used in conjunction with diet and exercise.

Mounjaro & Weight Loss

Mounjaro can lead to significant weight loss in overweight patients with type 2 diabetes, however Mounjaro is not a weight loss drug and not approved for weight-loss.

How does Mounjaro work?

Clinical trials have shown that Mounjaro causes significant weight loss due to its dual-agonist approach, activating both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. However, despite its effectiveness, there is still much to be learned about Mounjaro and its potential long-term effects.
