Endovenous Ablation (Laser, Radiofrequency)

This is the golden standard treatment for varicose veins caused by refluxing main veins.

• Minimally invasive non-surgical treatment for varicose veins
• A thin catheter is introduced into an enlarged vein and as the catheter is pulled out, the vein will be seal shut.
• 2 mm skin incision under local anaesthesia
• Procedure time 30-45 min
• Does not require hospital admission
• Normal activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure but avoid strenuous activities for two weeks

Sclerotherapy

This is an office based procedure that doesn’t require anaesthesia. Small and medium-sized varicose veins are injected with a chemical agent that scars and closes veins. In a few weeks, treated varicose veins should fade.  Although the same vein may need to be injected more than once, sclerotherapy is effective if done correctly.

Foam Sclerotherapy of Large Veins

Injection of a large vein with a foam solution is also a possible treatment to close a vein and seal it. This is usually indicated if veins are very tortuous and catheter-based options are excluded.
