He is American Board-Certified in Sleep Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases, with recertifications in all three specialties.
He completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi, Pakistan, graduating with honors, and later completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York.
