Dr. Samih Tarabichi is recognized as the premier orthopedic consultant in the UAE, specializing in Asian knee arthroplasty. With a distinguished career spanning 35 years, Dr. Tarabichi has been at the forefront of advanced orthopedic surgeries in both the USA & UAE, performing over 25000 joint replacement surgeries worldwide. He is the innovator behind the full flexion knee implant and holds 7 patents in total knee replacement and revision surgery.

Dr. Samih Tarabichi received his orthopedic training at McGill University, where he completed his residency in the Department of Orthopedics from July 1984 to June 1987. Prior to that, he held positions as a research fellow at the University of Illinois, a resident in the Department of Surgery at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, and a graduate student at Ohio State University. He also completed a residency at the Medical College of Ohio. He is contributing significantly to medical literature, publishing so far over 35 articles in the world’s most prestigious medical journals on joint replacements in USA & EU. Moreover, he is pioneering the development of the custom-made implants for patients using cutting-edge 3D printing technology.

Dr. Samih Tarabichi played a major role in the development of the Persona knee implant by Zimmer in the USA, revolutionizing the field of knee replacement surgery by enabling patients to fully bend and sit on the ground post-operation. Recently, Dr Tarabichi introduced the new Zimmer Knee revision system to the rejoin that he was working on with a group of elite surgeons globally for over a decade, elevating revision surgeries to completely new levels. This innovative system has been implemented outside the USA and EU exclusively in the UAE, due to Dr. Tarabichi’s significant contributions to the field.
