Dr. Punam is in her 25th year of practice as a consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon. She has completed her MBBS & MS General Surgery and went on to do her super specialisation in MCh (Plastic Surgery) from Grant Medical College, Mumbai University. She fostered her Aesthetic surgery skills under the renowned Professor Pitanguy Rio de Janeiro , Brazil and then later in Turkey and Lebanon. She has served as a professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Mumbai as well as Adjunct Asst Prof. in the Mohd. Bin Rashid University, Dubai. Dr. Punam also holds a master’s degree in International Management Health Systems from the University of Liverpool, UK.

Dr. Punam’s work experience spans across Seychelles, Bahrain, UAE and India. In her early years, she was based in Mumbai at the reputed Jaslok Hospital and Saifee Hospital as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon. She moved to the UAE in 2012 and since then has served as the Head of Plastic & Reconstructive surgery at several reputed hospitals in UAE.

Additionally, she has chaired and presented at several national and international meetings. She holds memberships of International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Life Member of Alumni of Ivo Pitanguy, Brazil, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India Member, Emirates Plastic Surgery Society- UAE (EPSS) Member, Hand Surgery Chapter of Emirates Medical Association Member, Maharashtra Chapter of Plastic Surgeons of India Life member, Indian Medical Association (IMA).

Dr. Punam has also been serving as an active panel member for Dubai Health Authority for Clinical governance as well as for Licensing Plastic Surgeons, Laser, and Beauty Therapists in the UAE, since 2015.
