Dr. Mustafa Jamal Ahmed completed his medical degree and integrated BSc in pharmacology at King’s College London, Aldwych and Kensington campuses, respectively. He began his career as a house officer under Prof. McGregor and then advanced to senior house officer and senior registrar roles in the renal unit with Prof. Bruce Hendry at King’s College Hospital.

With over 15 years of experience in the UAE, Dr. Ahmed has achieved notable milestones, including performing the first live-related transplant at the military hospital, the first recess incompatible transplant, and the first pediatric transplant in the Federal Ministry of Health. He also orchestrated the UAE’s first ABO incompatible transplant.

Maintaining strong ties with King’s College renal unit and Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ transplant center in the UK, Dr. Ahmed specializes in diabetic kidney disease management and is proficient in glomerulonephritis and chronic kidney disease across all stages.

He established the first freestanding private dialysis unit in Dubai Healthcare City and remains highly active in nephrology, with clinics across major Emirates. Dr. Mustafa Jamal Ahmed is now joining the Emirates Hospitals Group.
