Dr. Hala Marouf brings over 30 years of extensive experience in her field. She earned her MBBCh and MSc in Pediatrics and Neonatology from Cairo University, Egypt. She also did her MD in Paediatrics & Neonatology from Cairo University as well. She further enhanced her expertise with specialized training in Pulmonary and Asthma in Children at the American Austrian Foundation in Salzburg, Austria, and completed her Neonatal Intensive Care residency at the Gasilini International Institute in Genoa, Italy.
At the start of her career, Dr. Hala Marouf was part of the Cardio-Thoracic Surgical Team in the Pediatric Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit. She later became a Consultant and Lecturer in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cairo University Children’s Hospital in Egypt, a role she continues to be affiliated with to this day. Subsequently, she relocated to the UAE and worked at some of Dubai’s leading hospitals. Dr. Marouf has also served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Sharjah University.
Her expertise covers a broad spectrum of conditions under General Paediatrics, Paediatric Pulmonology, Neonatology, PICU and NICU Services. She has successfully managed deliveries that include routine delivery care and resuscitation as well as high-risk deliveries. Commencing with the entire gamut of neonatal disorders, paediatric and adolescent medicine services, she is well-versed in well-baby and child routine check-ups, growth and developmental assessments, and routine vaccines and vaccines during travel.
Dr. Marouf has a special interest in Paediatric Pulmonology with Asthma management and parents’ education along with postoperative surgical, cardio-thoracic and neurosurgical cases. She is proficient in the management of PICU patients and complicated cases of multi-organ system failure.
