Dr. Francesca is a distinguished medical professional with over 27 years of experience. She graduated with honors in both her MD and specialization in infectious diseases from the University of Verona, Italy. Her research has primarily focused on viral hepatitis, liver diseases, HIV infection, and rare diseases, and she has authored over 100 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Francesca has been associated with several prestigious hospitals throughout her career. Notably, she served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Nazarbayev University School of Medicine. Prior to that, she was a Senior Lecturer in Internal Medicine at the University of Botswana’s Faculty of Medicine from 2009 to 2015, where she also held key positions as Assistant Program Director in Internal Medicine (2014-2015) and Head of the Department of Medicine at Princess Marina National Referral Hospital (2012-2015). Before joining the University of Botswana, she worked as a consultant physician in the Departments of Infectious Diseases and Emergency Medicine in Italy.
