Dr. Ali Choukair
Specialist Gastroenterology

Dr. Ali Choukair is an experienced Specialist Gastroenterology, with over 15 years of experience in medicine and extensive clinical practice across Lebanon and the Gulf region, including the UAE since 2015.

He completed his medical education at the American University of Beirut (AUB), followed by clinical research and electives in Lebanon and the United States. He subsequently pursued his residency and fellowship training in Gastroenterology, completing his fellowship in 2012.

Dr. Choukair has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including disorders affecting the stomach, colon, esophagus and digestive motility. His clinical interests include IBS, Fatty liver disease, obesity, Gut Health, GI & Liver detox. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), liver diseases, pancreatic disorders and gastrointestinal bleeding.

He is experienced in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, Fibroscan,  polypectomy, endoscopic stent placement and capsule endoscopy. His expertise also extends to gastrointestinal motility investigations and endoscopic weight-management procedures, including intragastric balloon placement.
