Diagnosis
Ovaries and uterus are examined in detail by vaginal ultrasonography. In order to examine the levels of hormones in the blood, a blood test is done on the 3rd day of menstruation. In individuals with the disease, especially as a result of the Hormone test, if the FSH and LH hormone levels regulating the ovulation cycle are out of normal (low estrogen, high testosterone), the disease is diagnosed.
Treatment
With the specially prepared nutrition program, the insulin resistance is eliminated and the patient loses weight. Drug treatment is started to lower the level of male hormone in the blood. Birth control pills can be used to treat menstrual irregularity. Vitamin and mineral supplements or hair removal technology can be used for hair and skin problems.
