Dr. Wolfgang Born and raised in Germany, completed his medical studies in 1982, at the Christian-Albrechts University Germany, Dr. Wolfgang’s medical expertise has been attained through practicing in various countries such as Germany, United States, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. His residency program allowed Dr. Wolfgang to achieve versatile involvement in 6 departments of internal medicine within 5 reputed hospitals in Germany. By doing so, Dr. Wolfgang practiced five different subspecialties of Internal Medicine. Within this time he was involved in scientific research doing chromosome analysis on bone marrow cells of patients with acute leukaemia, myeloproliferative disorders and after bone marrow transplantation. During Spring 1985, he became part of the Department of Genetics (Prof. Chaganti) at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, where he spent several months. After completing his specialisation in Internal Medicine (Facharzt für Innere Medizin /Rettungsmedizin) he became staff grade at the department for cardiology of the Hans-Susemihl-Krankenhaus in Emden/Germany. Dr. Wolfgang has furthermore practiced medicine in a number of boutique private clinics for several years, serving as Specialist in Cardiology and Angiology.

Dr. Johannson last assignment was at HealthPlus Diabetes & Endocrinology Center before moving to Emirates Hospital Day Surgery, Abu Dhabi. For 11 years he was the Head of the Department of Angiology at the Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi. He undertook the role of Specialist Gastroenterologist in the National Healthcare System of North Wales in the UK in 2001.
