Dr. Muhyeddine Al Taki, MD, FACS

Dr. Muhyeddine Al Taki completed his Medical Studies in 1999 at the American University of Beirut and his Orthopaedic Residency Training in 2006 at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre. Subsequently, he completed his AO Trauma Fellowship in the United Kingdom in 2006 after which he traveled to Canada for further fellowship training.
In Canada, he completed two years of fellowships (2007-2009) in lower extremity reconstruction including complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and joint replacement surgery (one year at the University of Toronto and another at the University of British Columbia). This was followed by two Fellowships in “Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy”, and “Arthroscopic Reconstructive Surgery and Athletic Injuries” at the Universities of Toronto and of British Columbia for another 2 years.

After completing his Fellowship training in 2010, he returned to Lebanon and worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre for 11 years where he developed vast experience in the field of orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Taki has been a Core Faculty member at AUBMC and as an academician, he was also involved in the teaching and training of residents/registrars and future orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Taki is active in research with more than 14 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and five book chapters.

Dr. Taki is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Lebanese Orthopaedic Society & the Lebanese Order of Physicians.
