Dr. Basel Imam is an American board certified physician with 10 years of experience in high volume Obstetrics and Gynecology practices and tertiary hospitals in the United States of America.

He prides himself on providing patient-focused and evidence-based care to women of all ages. He was running a busy minimally-invasive complex gynecology practice with large referral base in Chicago. Dr. Basel was the recipient of the AAGL Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology.

In addition to full-scope gynecologic care, Dr. Basel provides comprehensive care during pregnancy and his patients have been the recipients of great care with excellent outcomes such as low rates of severe vaginal lacerations, infections and cesarean section. He also advocates for vaginal delivery after cesarean section (VBAC) when clinically appropriate. Above all, Dr. Basel believes in patients’ autonomy and involvement in their medical care.
